I actually lived with several Seventh-Day Adventist for close to a year. I loved their TOTAL devotion to PRAYERS and BIBLE STUDIES on Saturday after church. I loved their diet too.
Here is what researcher Dan Buettner discovered about their lifestyle that I totally agree with:
1. Practice PHYSICAL MOVEMENT which follows with what John J Ratey MD says in his book Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise And The Brain.
2. Find a sense of LASTING PURPOSE!
3. REDUCE STRESS!
4. Eat to only 80% satisfaction!
5. Eat less MEAT and more BEANS, LENTILS and NUTS.
6. Drink a REASONABLE amount of ALCOHOL DAILY. Even my friend Dr. OZ agrees!
7. Find a STRONG CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY like my Discover Church in Franklin NC.
8. Nurture FAMILY relationships.
9. Develop RELATIONSHIPS that support your Christian VALUES!
